Building Note:
Renowned Nashville architect, Edwin Keeble, designed the original building in 1957 with a shingle roof. In 1987, our company restored the church steeple with stainless steel. In 2006, RD Herbert replaced the existing shingles on the main sanctuary with stainless steel chosen for its color, lifespan and as a compliment to the existing steeple.

Detail:
The new stainless steel batten seam roof on the sanctuary required using engineered battens due to the structural gypsum deck. Other roofs were covered with shingles and fully adhered TPO on multiple roof sections. The white TPO on the flat roofs reflects sunlight and assists with keeping the interior of the building cooler. 20-oz copper flashings, edge metal and built-in gutters finished the roofs.
