Building Note:
When completed this single family residence will stand 73 feet tall and will be 11,200 square feet. This contemporary structure incorporates many values of sustainable design including a green roof, NanaWall (window wall system) and Rheinzink metal wall panels. Composed of sod and grasses this green roof resembles a back yard elevated above the world. |

Detail:
The project includes new hot rubber waterproofing for the roof and under the roof top saltwater pool. Multiple finished surfaces include extensive green roof, paver ballast, rock ballast, teak decking, and gunite at the pool. All but the last two finishes are supplied and installed by RD Herbert. Rheinzink Blue-Gray reveal metal wall panels encase the penthouse, mechanical area, and elevator shaft. Matching Rheinzink coping, gutters, downspouts, flashing, and edge metal finish the roof. Concerns about the salt water tarnishing the Rheinzink flashing guided our company to use a stainless steel ledge flashing around the pool area. |
