building Note:
The Schermerhorn Symphony Center is an acoustical and architectural masterpiece built to house the Nashville Symphony, and was named in honor of the late Maestro Kenneth Schermerhorn. The 197,000-square-foot neo-classical inspired Schermerhorn Symphony Center opened in September of 2006. |

Detail:
Our portion of work included fabricating approximately 2000 sheets of 20-oz copper into standing seam roofs over the main hall and three other smaller roofs. Low slope areas received built-up roofs. In addition, we installed wall panels at roof level changes. Associated metal flashings and architectural details for the roofs were fabricated from 20-oz copper. The custom fabricated 32-oz copper conductor heads collect rain water from each scupper and channel it through shop-fabricated round downspouts. |
